Heh, I can only say that this is good news for Anet

If this reflects an actual shortage and not just an issue of play.com then I think GW may be outselling its expected numbers, to me that is good news because that means Anet has a future and the model of an MMO without montly fees does as well.

Sucks for you though!

yeah but all the copies play.com has and all the copies in the shops are still gonna contribute to the fact that there are gonna be more players. anet shouldnt be really bothered about how many people are playing but the fact that so many are. i mean is more money for anet in the long run as more will have to buy the expansions and stuff . im only gonna buy the spec edition out in the shops tomorrow, but i just wanted the account tonight lol

Well, they reached 1 million copies sold in july, and havent made an announcement for 2 million yet. I assume they are close though. GW made top 5 selling puter games of '05, with WoW on top of course..

why dont you try buying just the code from www.plaync.com thats what my mate did, though not recently. But since thats the official site, I imagine they have tons more available codes than play.com is gonna have.

Can u buy the code from Play.com? i dont think so, they sell the whole thing not just a code like plaync.com.

Did you look into buying a commercial version of the game first, like from Best Buy or ebgames? My last time at Best Buy about a week ago, I noticed they didn't have any GW copies in stock on a Tuesday, which is when they get their deliveries here in the US.
